TWO KILLED IN MIRE BAY HELICOPTER CRASH
Fire damage is minimal and under control
by Owen Davidson
Two people were killed in a deadly helicopter crash in Upper Mire Bay. The crash occurred on the undeveloped wooded hillside overlooking the industrial district so the only casualties were the two occupants of the vehicle at the time. In a statement by Fire Chief Corey Watkins, he claims that the resulting fire has been contained and is under control, although it is fortunate that the region has been experiencing exceptionally wet weather lately. Otherwise, the situation could have been a lot worse.
It was an aircraft privately consigned to Pinnacle Research. The exact cause of the crash is unknown. Local air traffic records show that it was out on a routine test flight for maintenance. Pinnacle has declined to make a statement or release the names of the occupants.
